Back To The Future ULTIMATE

Back to the Future, released by Data East in 1990, brings the time-traveling adventures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown to the pinball world.

The playfield features iconic elements from the film trilogy, including the DeLorean time machine, Hill Valley clocktower, and hover board. The color scheme is vibrant, with plenty of blues and oranges reminiscent of the films' promotional material. Ramps and targets are designed to represent different time periods - 1955, 1985, and 2015.

A central feature is the "Time Travel" multiball mode, triggered by hitting specific targets to "charge" the flux capacitor. When activated, players must hit ramps representing different years to rack up points and prevent paradoxes.

The backglass artwork showcases Marty and Doc with the DeLorean, surrounded by elements from various time periods. The style captures the adventurous spirit of the films while incorporating classic pinball art sensibilities.

As an early 90s solid-state machine, Back to the Future boasts a rich soundscape. It features voice clips from the movies, including Doc's iconic "Great Scott!" The game's soundtrack includes renditions of familiar tunes from the film series.

Data East incorporated several film-inspired toys, including a mechanic DeLorean that pops up from the playfield and a rotating Clocktower with a lightning rod target.

Various modes let players recreate key scenes from the movies, such as escaping Biff's gang or saving Doc from being hanged in the Old West.

Back to the Future stands out as a pinball machine that successfully captures the excitement and humor of the beloved film trilogy, offering fans a chance to experience time travel adventures in pinball form.
